Loved the food here. Often when you go to a Mexican restaurant the food is laden with cheese and heavy salsa. However at Hot Tamale the food was light, modern, fresh and tasty. The red sangria was great too! The staff were lovely and the service was quick.

Hot tamale is a nice place to go for a tasty Mexican meal in the Darwin city area. The staff are all professional and friendly, the food is delicious & reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. Pictured is one of the several vegan meals available, which was delicious!

We went for the 2.5 hour Sunday bottomless brunch and it was absolutely sensational!! The menu to choose from was huge and the food was so delicious and filling! The cocktails and drinks were amazing, we will definitely be back! We definitely got our money's worth at $88 per head. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Very nice Mexican restaurant on the waterfront. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was good with many options to choose from as a vegetarian. Nice decor with great atmosphere. Excellent location. I had a deep fried zucchini taco and sweet potato taco which were both delicious. My husband had the vegetarian burrito bowl which he said was a nice flavour. I ordered an iced coffee which I was dissatisfied with as it hardly had any coffee flavour. At $6 I was expecting a good iced coffee. It looked and tasted like milky water.

This place is always packed! Make sure you book. We tried just turning up on a weeknight - nope. Full! There's a great vibe, people seem very happy to be here. Good food selection, a limited cocktail range, great staff and with outside seating available - terrific view. It does seem like 'the place to be' on the Darwin waterfront.
