Good coffee, lovely batch brew and almond croissant which was fresh and crispy. Nice vibes. Friendly service. Very popular with locals.

Impeccable coffee, one of a kind. I decided to try Haven as I was staying nearby and its name had appeared a couple of times when I was searching for a cafe with good coffee. The place has a good vibe to it and was fairly busy when I visited. I ordered a long black and a raspberry danish and I was impressed with how both were presented. The danish was good and the coffee was excellent. I had hoped to buy some of the beans of the coffee I just had, unfortunately they had run out of them for sale but after checking how soon I was planning to use the beans they suggested a similar bean they had just roasted a couple of days before and then prepared a bag for meal. Overall a very enjoyable experience and well worth a visi

Coffee is ok (sometimes burnt). Food is pricey, like a $20 chicken burger that isn't that special. Would be nice if they just had a few basic take away items like a banana bread or a standard/basic bacon and egg roll for a reasonable price. I feel they are trying to be really special but not quite there yet. Staff are always nice and friendly.

Absolutely delicious brunch and very aesthetic cafe. Their prawn Sando is a must get here, the prawn is filled with big juicy prawn pieces and the bread is super soft and fluffy. Their tuna sando which is a weekly special was also really delicious with a nicely toasted brioche. The flavors and textures compliment each other perfectly! Lastly the chicken burger was a classic, cannot go wrong with it. The Magic latte was a unique coffee due to its more sour after taste. Overall Haven had exceptional food, really exceeded my expectations :)

This cafe has been on my radar for a while as I work in the area. I was excited to visit as the reviews looked good but sad to say I was a little disappointed. Hence the 3 star review when in could have been much higher. Let me start with the food as that’s definitely a positive. I ordered the Ruben toastie sandwich and the iced Earl grey tea, both really excellent. The Reuben was super tasty, the sauerkraut was tangy, the corned beef salty, the dressing adding a sweetness and the cheese was a gooey melted perfection. The Earl grey iced tea with lavender, honey and citrus was really good, all the flavours well balanced and the lavender was super subtle. The menu has just enough on it to not be overwhelming. The food definitely deserves 4-4.5 stars. The thing that was disappointing was the staff approach to mask wearing. The front of house staff were either wearing a mask that mainly covered their chins, sometimes their mouths but their noses were not covered at all. The hostess took her mask off when walking around gathering cups and plates as well. It was a little off putting to see this when we have a mandatory mask mandate at the moment in Sydney. I figure if you’re going to wear a mask then wearing it correctly or why bother?

Haven has been around since they started in Surry Hills at Chalmers Street across the train station. They are all about good coffee and their brunch is asian fusion Hong kong/Japanese/western style. They have since move to Rosebery and close down the Surry hills branch and they still have a coffee focus small shop in darling square which I absolutely love getting coffee here. Love their signature Daikon Cake it feel like the classic pan fried turnip cake but they make it brunch style with XO hollandaise sauce. The Prawn Sando was pretty taste with prawn cake top with Cha Siu Mayo topped with flying fish roe & seasonal pickles. Good spot to check out in Rosebery for a good brunch experience.
