Hadley's Orient Hotel

nice hotel with some old fashioned grandeur but still functional and comfortable inside. room was very spacious. staff were nice and the way they do breakfast (complimentary continental with paid add ons) is really good.

Lovely clean room with the best shower pressure ever!! Excellent location. The bar attached to the hotel is excellent, lots of local products, friendly staff.

Had the Dark Mofo 2021 Sparking Dark Afternoon Tea here. OMG... it was divine. The small sandwiches, tarts, scones.. and the massive pot of tea each. Was lush and memorable. Staff friendly but left you to get on with it. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel for 3 nights with 9 other colleagues. The staff are amazing, the old world charm was incredible! The rooms were spotless and it is within walking distance to everything we wanted to do! The bar is cozy and relaxing,. I was in a twin share, with 2 single beds, which were amazingly warm, cosy and very comfortable! If you have a love of history, as I do, you will also love the ambiance!

A very cool hotel situated in a great location to explore Hobart. We enjoyed our stay here and the staff were lovely.

I think this might be one of my fav hotels... you can feel the history as you walk in the front door, and it continues through the entire hotel.  Rooms are good (sensational pillows).  The cooked breakfast is definitely worth it (the menu is small but the quality is really great).  But what makes this place stand out from I think any hotel I've stayed at is the staff..absolutely EVERYONE working there is professional,  warm and truly lovely.   From the front desk, the super team in the dining room at breakfast, the team servicing the rooms, they all seems to be truly happy. We will definitely be staying here when we're in Hobart next.

Amazing old world charm and service. Can't rave about this hotel enough. Staff went out of their way to help us with any queries we had about local sights and places to eat. Great bar, lovely breakfast and the room was amazing! Spacious, clean and super comfortable. Absolutely recommend you stay here on your trip to Hobart

This was our third year in a row staying at Hadley's! We love the beautiful building, the first class service and the downtown location! We stay for a few days and just walk to the shops, the restaurants or the waterfront! Definitely recommend. We missed the dinning by piano this last time! :( Hope the pianist is back next year when we come!

As a Tasmanian resident I have previously stayed and enjoyed Hadleys Orient, as has my friend, either with her husband or with me. However, my friend and I could not book for a stay in June 2021 as the Hotel had blocked the 3 dates with no explanation provided. It was not during Mofo or Festival of Voices. We stayed somewhere else and were happy there. We tried to book Hadleys Orient again for towards end of Nov 2021, with same story. Therefore, even though this had been our favourite hotel, we have booked again with the other hotel for Nov. We have been very disappointed and reluctant to try booking with Hadleys for fear of same experience. I suppose like previously, Hadleys Orient will try to entice Tasmanians to holiday there if mainlanders are blocked entry due to Covid, but be aware Tasmanians, at other times, it seems we don't matter.
