Ha-Lu Japanese Tapas Restaurant

Good service, excellent food. Can recommend for a fantastic Japanese experience. Prices on the upper end but still worthwhile.

I have only tried the food from ubereats. Food is good but.. when i went into the store today to try dining it, i realised the location is hard to find parking, really small space, could not walk in to dine in and it's way too busy even for takeaway. They told me that i have to wait 35 minutes for takeaway :( So probably book in advance or order on the delivery apps. Food is good though.

Had a really disappointing dinner from this Japanese restaurant the meal didn't have much flavour and the tofu was a weird flavour the best part was the chicken and dumplings looking forward to giving this restaurant a second chance ordered through Uber eats will be attending in person next time I had a beef Bento being the main component could have had a bit more beef on the plate tasted similar to Beef jerky presented in a well separated container if the owner reads this I am open to adjusting my review in the future :-)

Great dishes with great service! The food was delicious, but the standout for me was the Wagyu beef tataki. The fried root vegetables are a great complement to any order! The waitress was very helpful in estimating rice portions and knowing which dishes would be on the salty side. Everything was great but I think the scallops should be a little more to the raw side, still delicious though!

After being talked up for months we finally went down to try some amazing Japanese. Unfortunately the reality didn't live upto our expectations. The beef dish was fantastic but the others didn't hit the mark for any of us. The waitress spilled our wine on the table and one of us got wine on our white shirt as well without offering a discount or something to compensate for the accident. Not sure we'll go back with so many great Japanese restaurants nearby in Perth.

Tastiest Japanese in a really long time and excellent value for money! We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and Fish Tatsuta Bento Box through Uber Eats. Generous serve with extras included, like karaage chicken, gyoza and more. You will be very satisfied after this meal. Will definitely order again and hope to dine in soon. Thanks Ha Lu!

Tasty as food. Atmosphere is very similar to that of an Isakaya in Japan.

Been going there for years. Food is good but they don't value long term customers. 2 weeks ago we made a reservation but on arrival I requested not to sit by the entrance as usual but was told not possible as they have a rigid booking system. They use to be able to comy. I requested for table 12 and was told it was not possible. Another family who did not have any reservations was able to have the table 12. So what is the point of reservations? The fact that a walk in family without reservation can have preference over my requests in front of us tells me alot about their treatment. I feedback to them twice but was told must specify table numbers for future reservations.....

Fresh and delish food. Love to go back to try more on the menu !
