Well we finally got to go to Gepettos tonight after a few years of planning through no fault of our own, and WOW it was worth the wait. My wife and I have been to Italy 4x over the last 10yrs and have,experienced some of Italy's finest food restaurants, well tonight we were taken right back to Italy the flavors of the food were just magnificent, I swear I'm not brushing my teeth when I go to bed as I want to save those until morning ,the service was friendly and aimed to please which they certainly did and the panacotta was exceptional, would we go back, in a heartbeat. Thank you to all for making our evening a very enjoyable one. Guy and Rosemarie.

Gepettos is found at 94 Mt Barker (Main St) Rd, Hahndorf. It is a traditional Italian Restruant offering pizza as well. The building is a German cottage with thick walls. So cool in summer. Table service can be indoor or outdoor. It is friendly clean and neat. Rear parking available.

Burramundi well cooked and tasty, however skimpy size..

First time dining here...great atmosphere with live music while we dined, good and fast service, authentic Italian food, the gnocchi literally melted in the mouth and was incredibly light and fluffy. It was refreshing to have a fresh mixed leaf salad served with my salt and pepper calamari instead of pre-cut bland dried vegetables, the batter was also incredibly light and pleasant to eat. The gnocchi ragu had quite a bit of delicious ragu so asking for a few pieces of house made bread to soak up and eat all that delicious sauce was well received by staff and i was pleased to see that we weren't charged for it. Looking forward to our next visit.

Cant say i was impressed. We turned up for a meal at 540 and was told we can only have a table til 7pm cause they need the table. 15 minutes after being seated we were asked to shift to another table cause they gave us the wrong table. Ordered 3 pizzas @$25+ each. the pizzas were ok but lacked any quantity of topping. The Hawaiian had 7 pieces of pineapple. I thought the service was very poor and pretentious. Would not recommend this place for families or value as it felt like they were trying to be to upmarket.
