Gatakers Bay Foreshore Reserve Esplanade, Point Vernon
Nice spot very friendly. Good strong coffee
Beautiful setting on the beach. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Best to get there before sunset to grab some incredible horizon sunset photos.
Nice quiet place with a view for drinks and food
What a great place... I visited for the first time today and was.... enchanted, yes, that's the word. It has a very eclectic feel to it and a mix of styles that made me feel instantly at home. The tea & home-made ginger scones were excellent and the service was friendly and efficient without being imposing. And what about the views.... Five stars well earned for this little gem at the top of Point Vernon. ADDENDUM... Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed. Hopefully someone else who loves the place will re-open it.
Unfortunately the restaurant has closed. I know why but won't go into that. Hopefully the owner , not Pat BTW, will revamp into a restaurant and not try to put a block of units there. If he does u urge all to oppose it as I would. Its perfect for a restaurant not a block of units for a privileged few. Keep HB beautiful .
Perfect spot, but the lady who owns the place needs to move on and let someone take over. It is in a perfect position and has so much potential. We went there once and the food was great, but we were the only people there. 100 seats and totally empty. There is plenty of parking opposite. I suggest ring up first to see if she has opened it for dining because you sometimes see a dodgee closed sign at the front entrance.
Great food with a good outlook as well as good customer service. We only had their home bakes scones with jam and freshly whipped cream. (None of that pressurised rubbish)
Just got there after a 30 minute drive from the airport because how beautiful it sounded, and it looks permanently closed!
Very disappointing. Where do I start? Run down facilities. No TLC. Terrible customer service. Possibly the least engaging, least friendly and least helpfull waitress I have ever witnessed! Food is priced from about $22 for fish and chips to $38 or the seafood basket. The seafood basket (for two) really only would feed one and was disappointing in flavour, fish was likely also undercooked. It was served in a dirty shell shaped bowl. The place is falling apart in several areas. Fans almost rusted through, massive air conditioning units (perhaps) with huge rust holes. Lots of dangers for children. View is nice but that's about the only good thing about this place.
Beautiful steak, cooked to perfection. Seafood was delicious. Ambiance-great.Thank you for a special for our TR3 and MG Car Club... great work Pat.
