Fujiya Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant

The Fujiya Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant is located on Pacific Highway, Gordon, across the road from the Gordon Centre. Plenty of parking is available in the council carpark at Gordon Station. If you want great food with a show then this restaurant may fill that need. Food is cooked on the hot plate at the table and is dished out in an entertaining manner by the expert chef. Kids are welcomed. The food and service is excellent with a casual ambience and pleasant decor.

The lady at the counter was lovely. Welcoming and helpful. There were two chefs cooking teppanyaki. The one serving the other guests was more interested in making the evening fun. The chef we were saddled with, left a lot to be desired . Halfway towards our meal , he forgot all about us and began cooking for the new arrivals . We waited quite a while and then cancelled our remaining order (garlic rice). To which the chef had the following to say "Why didn't you tell me you were in a hurry".The service was abysmal. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks and the chef and young waiter were also arguing ...about what I haven't a clue! Most disappointing. Waitstaff need training in service and good manners.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and great staff. Prices are high but definitely worth it.

Such a lovely restaurant. Food is great, hospitality even better. Lived in Ozz for 3 years (2008-2010) en went back after 9 years and they were so warm🥰 and she even cried when she welcomed us. What more to say? They treat you like family....

Pretty sure nothing has been done to update this restaurant in the last 30 years, and the food is average for this style. The theatrics were fun though, and kids are well catered for.

Did the fixed menu for my son's birthday. The chefs are performers and put on a great show for kids. Assortment of seafood and meats were all top notch quality. Very family friendly with attentive staff. BYO drinks too. Will visit again.

Went there for a birthday party last week. The best Teppanyaki experience I ever have. Delicious food and chef entertaining. Very good service. Definitely coming back.

Very reasonable prices and a great chef that made it super fun! Kids menu and several options for adults. You can combine teppanyaki with additional dishes such as tempura prawns and sashimi. I'll definitely come back! They can only sit up 30-40 people, so make sure you book in advance, as it might be hard to find a place, especially for groups of 4 or more.

Very nice service, nice and fresh food, reasonable price and a lot of fun.
