Nice little suburban cafe. Staff are lovely, coffee and food is decent but nothing special. Overall ok.

Great staff and a great menu. Almost the whole (tasty) menu has gluten free options available. Service is speedy, and the atmosphere is pleasant and upbeat. Even the staff seem to want to be there. Thanks for the great service and tasty noms.

The owner is a reincarnated version of Basil Fawlty. If you would enjoy a full serve of sneer, contempt, and domination, this is the place for you. Walked out without ordering.

Came here and there was 4 empty tables inside. I asked for a table and the lady looked at me and said they are fully booked. Even though only 1 of the 4 tables had a reserved sign in it. I said ok and asked if I could sit outside. It was a wet and cold day and they had 7 free tables outside. She said they were full and turned away. Not sure if my middle eastern appearance and beard had anything to do with it.

Great food. We ordered 12 different dishes and 6 different desserts since there’re couple of us, they taste great! Highly recommended. Price are reasonable as well. Great drew coffee. Friendly staff, there’re plenty of books to reads and toys for kids to play with. Good place to chill :))) 👍🏻👍🏻

I stopped into Friends for a quick bite to eat and a coffee while passing through Monbulk. Five or so years later my partner and I still continue to make the 40min drive most weekends (as we are not locals) to pop in and have coffee and lunch often bringing friends or family with us. The pleasent atmophere, enjoyable food and drink keep us coming back. Always have a quick quip with the owner which is a refreshing change from a lot of the other cafe's we go to. Definitely recommend stopping in :)

Had a great breakfast here! Food was delicious and it was nice to sit outside! Everyone was friendly and i would highly recommend. Will head back to Monbulk to just eat here again!

What a little gem, visiting from Gippsland, Olinda was packed travelled through to Monbulk and found “Friends on the Hill “ service with a smile, great coffee and smashed pumpkin on sourdough that was unique.
