Freycinet National Park Coles Bay Rd, Coles Bay
We stayed in a coastal pavilion which was lovely but try to get a Bayview pavilion they have a better view. They promote that they are private but they are quite on top of each other and you don’t really have much privacy from the other pavilions. The bed is super comfy and it’s very peaceful and quiet. Nice little touches inside the room with included mini bar and whisky and the outdoor bath is nice but pack the mosquito spray because they are really bad and huge. The lodges restaurant is close by and walking distance inside the Freycinet National Park as is the beautiful walks included the lovely honeymoon bay for sunsets. The architecture of these pavilions is fabulous but I wish they were more private.
Beautiful spot and friendly staff. Stayed in a coastal pavilion which had a great spot and the architecture is admirable. Well equipped room with everything you need. The older cabins around the site looked less exciting admittedly.
Exceeded my expectations from check-in to check-out. We had the premier spa cabin which was very good, and the complimentary minibar a surprising and well-appreciated feature. On-site bar was very good, and the restaurant was adequate.
Very comfortable and spacious room. Very comfy bed which was perfect to rest after cycling for 4 days from Launceston. Food at the restaurant was very delicious too! Will stay here again in the future.
Freycinet Lodge is one of our favourite stops in Tasmania. Sitting on the deck with a cold beverage, watching the sunset is amazing. Great photo opportunities here and some nice hikes. The service at the lodge is always too notch. Well worth the visit!
The premier spa cabin with a water view was excellent! If you can book room 34, that is the most private. Complementary mini-bar, free breakfast and turn down service was a nice touch. Stylish bathroom and spa. Staff were very obliging. 5 Stars!
We had our elopement at Freycinet and could not have been more pleased. Every single person on staff went above and beyond. Big shout outs to Alex and the reception team! We genuinely felt so celebrated by everyone we interacted with and they made our experience so much more than we could have ever expected. In addition the room, holy wow. Gorgeous and such a smartly and thoughtfully appointed place to stay. Everything included in the elopement package was excellent, from Wendy our lovely celebrant to the private dinner on the jetty. So thankful this is the place we will get to celebrate our anniversaries.
We only visited the lodge to go to the bistro for lunch - which was delicious! The staff at the lodge were helpful and friendly, the lodge itself is very fancy. I would love to come back to stay!
We stayed in winter, so the weather was gloomy but the lodge is really well run and maintained. The top level lodge has a bath and outside table over looking the water, it’s a perfect way to chill with a bottle of your favourite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lights in the lodge are a little awkward to work out, and some cupboards seem hidden as they’re built to blend in with the walls, almost invisible. But that should detract from the overall experience, it’s creatively designed and I really enjoyed my stay. Right next to the water, if we’re back in a better season, we’d be sure to come here again. Food at the main restaurant is superb.
wonderful place to stay. Spare the expense and treat yourself, spa rooms, great walks, local tours by boat and air flights, and the best scenery for miles and miles. Tasmania is a beautiful place and Freycinet Peninsula is a jewel in the crown. We've stayed up and down Australia's eastern seaboard and the staff and facilities at Freycinet Lodge make your stay a delightful experience in a beautiful environment. Were going back again.
