French Basket Cafe

Love this cafe. Fantastic and delicious pastries, bread and french inspired dishes. Coffee is amazing. If you can't get to France, especially given our border closures, do yourself a favour and get a taste of France on Dee Why Beach! Just perfect. Plenty of space to take your dogs or prams outside and large tables if you want to go with a group of friends. Will definitely be back AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN! Thank you staff. x

I'm so happy that I finally could went to this cafe and try their delicious. Yesterday was the day that I had this amazing experience at The French Basket Cafe in Dee Why. French decor, nice and fresh environment, tables set up with beautiful hand sanitises for ensuring that customers keep safe during Covid 19, check in points well displayed at the cafe, ok a part of Covid stuff, let's talk about the cafe and its concept a French style brings we back to our trip to French, how lovely each detail in this cafe, the tap water bottles available, their mugs, glass, straws, basket are so beautiful. I'm impressive with all details and french decor. The ambient was clean and well air circulation, as soon we arrived a friendly staff offer us a table and immediately clean it for us. We grab the menu and choose for a savoury basket so delicious, come with enough food for a couple, our pick: 1 orange juice 1 soy mocha 1 baguete 1 almond croissant 2 boiled eggs Seriously it was so good!!😋😋😋and with a very reasonable price. we also ordered a vegetarian baguete, tastes like a heaven! Staff are so friendly and kind, we certainly will visit them again.

Excellent selection of pastries, always freshly made. Beautiful coffee, just love starting my day there with the Coco Cap!!! Great service and beautiful location!

Just had lunch at the French Basket on Dee Why Beach. The lunch special of Mahi Mahi fillets served with beurre blanc, ratatouille and gratin potatoes was incredible. This is next level even by French Basket standards. We also ordered and devoured their oeufs benedict with salmon on a croissant. Definitely will be trying both again soon.

Lovely place, great staff and great service. The food is authentic French, just like the staff. We had the quiche with gazpacho special and a breakfast basket. Couldn't fault anything on flavour or quality: pastry of the quiche was thin and crumbly like it's supposed to be. Everything made authentic and with love. Will definitely return. Recommended!

Nice food but they forgot our order which should have taken 3 mins. 30 mintues later we got our food after asking where it was a few times.

Lots of things to love about this nice french cafe. Not excited about getting a dry, toasted baguette with my food when going to a french bakery, though. Would come back for drinks, but not food.

Beautiful place to visit in the morning! Watching the sunrise whilst trying their delectable croissant is how to do it.

Cheese & Cocktails - What more can you ask for! Also, the best service & coffee around. Love that this is our local!

Seriously, The French Basket has the best croissants in Sydney.
