The Fox and Hounds Restaurant

We had a self catering cottage and didn't use the restaurant, but the cottage was spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds and a view of the water. We were given fresh towels every day and linen every 2 days. It was great value for money

Staff were nice and friendly. Pie wasn't great, dry and portion was on the smaller side. Parma was nice but fries weren't properly cooked. Food took a while for a quiet time. Place is older and full of character.

Great service, food was terrific and the place has a beaut rustic charm about it. Fire place was stoked and music selection was great. My wife had the Guiness Pie and devoured it and I had the Tassie Salmon with Skordalia, chat potatoes and broccolini which also met the same fate.

Great food and awesome service! Had a very country pub feel to it which we loved! The staff were kind and very happy to help. We will recommend this place to everyone.

Room was fine. Bathroom and kitchenette bit tired looking. Good bed. Quiet. Don’t expect a happy to see you welcome. No wifi in rooms Reasonable value at $99

Nice and cosy place. Friendly staff. Well presented food. I definitely go again. I have seen few low rated comment but it may happen everywhere. Overall I am happy.

Meals were fine but in the small side. Served with fries and not chips which was disappointing. Dessert was great. Get the pizzas, they looked great.

Great food, great service and a picturesque view! However, room was ordinary- needs maintenance on all furnishings. But, we did pay a reasonable rate for the night. Smoke alarm required new batteries. Intermittently went off until we removed the battery. Worst of all, the water was brown and undrinkable. Sign on mirror stating 'for showering only.'
