Really lovely food and service. A little expensive for what it is but pretty fair for Kingscliff prices. We had a young, brand new staff member and she was great and had supervision. Done really well! And did I mention the gin! Yes!!!

Great food and great selection at the bar. Pull up a stool at one of the bar table or eat in the restaurant. The food is fantastic, but small portions. Fab and friendly staff.

Destination Tweed at Plantation House, 14/03/2021. Food by Snowy @fins. The worst food ever. 2 prawns that tasted like beef, cooked on a grill not cleaned. Cauliflower and Corn, sharing 16 Chips between four people. Never again.

Best seafood restaurant in Northern NSW and Gold Coast area - blown away by the flavour of the food and service. Highly recommend the matching wines also. If you're lucky, Head Chef Snowy will come and say G'day! Great atmosphere, highly recommend for a special occasion.

OMG what food this great chef called Steve, cooks. Every dish or cocktail that is served is absolutely stunning taste wise and presented well. The only downside is the cheese platter but if you stay away from that you are in heaven. More people need to make a mention about this. Last night we had bugs, oysters and sashimi for entree Then we had the Spicy fish and celebration of spice fish fish. Desert affagato and Toblerone desert cocktail. Tonight we had lobster bisque, scallops stuffed with prawns and mains were Snowy fish with chips, blue eyed cod, never had a taste sensation like that before and desert was three cheese’s, lava cake and Toblerone cocktail. The chef, Steve, came to see us and chatted and that made our stay complete. He was so nice and knowledgeable and so happy about the Mahi Mahi he was getting for Friday night for the Snowy fish dish which changes daily with the freshly caught fish. Never miss this out. The wine list is also great and the staff are very knowledgeable on the wines. Great atmosphere and food. If you come to Kingscliff make sure you go to Fins.

We've wanted to try Fins for a long time, so were looking forward to finally getting there. The restaurant itself has a great a great ambiance and decor is lovely and cosy - especially at night. While the waiters were great and knowledgeable, they were let down by the slowness of the kitchen, and the food. The wine selection was good and by the glass options were reasonably priced. We had the 5 course degustation. It was a very long wait in between courses...almost an hour between one of them. The food portions were tiny so we were hungry while waiting...so much so we had to order a side of bread - at an extra cost. The food was ok, but not amazing and the size of each course just felt stingy. The lobster bisque was literally 3 spoonful’s with one tiny school prawn on top. The scallops were just 2 scallops in a shell with some sauce on top. The fish 'main' was 3 bites of fish with some beans on the side. It’s the first time I’ve had a degustation and seriously wanted to stop off and grab something to eat on the way home. For $110 pp, it didn’t seem like good value, the food was ok, but not award winning and there just wasn’t enough of it. I hate to say it but I was really disappointed.

We had a staycation in Kingscliff and Fins was an absolutely enjoyable and memorable dining experience. I have to give a shout out to Tal for her epic service, and her drinks are legendary. We stopped in to have drinks before dinner and shared the aged sirloin steak meal to snack on. The kitchen plated the shares perfectly for us and it was cooked to perfection (I’d recommend it medium rare). It was well worth it and we’ll definitely be back for more! :D I highly recommend stopping by Fins if you’re making your way through Kingscliff... Btw did I mention Tal makes amazing cocktails lol
