Authentic food, decent serving sizes, virgin cocktails (very citrus). Distinctly Latino vibes. From groups to dates, varied types of patrons. Can be a little noisy for conversions but that adds to the vibe.

This place is terrible. The food is barely edible and the service is rude and slow.

I love it. Nice pleople, great food and fantastic music. I really had a wonderful time with my friends there.

Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. However, my friend and I ordered two dishes the first dish was yummy 😋 and the second dish had no flavor hence I told the waiter the dish was insipid which she took the food. It came back with just a spicy sauce and still no attempt on the food so we add salt to have a taste. The fact is the chicken had no slight of flavor (salt) at least the basis should not be left out. The cocktails and sangria were okay.

Originally gave this place five stars as the first few experiences were super great. Food , staff and atmosphere was perfect! However, my most recent visit saw a major decline in all of the above. Waiter attempted to take our order 4 times in which another person finally stepped in. Drinks were asked to be doubled but were not which had to be asked about two separate times. Even had to ask for actual plates and utensils for the food multiple times while the food sat there what a joke! Food portions were very very small we actually counted a serving of 12 fries with the over $8 sweet potato fries 😂. Such a disappointment as had been such a raving fan before but will not be returning after this.

We use a Groupon and it was great! The food was freshly made, quick service and good portion. The sangria is the best one I've had. I would definitely come back again. Very enjoyable!

I came back to south america with the drinks and food of this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing and you can find a variety of different dishes of different Latin America countries. Definitely coming back! 👌

A space with “Exotik” and beautiful vibes in the middle of Newtown’s King St. the Churros was amazing and was the coffee. The food and drink menu is rich enough for a snack or heavier meal. Love the place, ideal for me time and also friend and family meet up. The staff are very friendly and the extended work hours, compared to other surrounding cafes, is a plus.

(3.5 stars) The Exotik Latin Cafe in Newtown had a lively vibe last Friday evening when I descended, with a gaggle of girlfriends, for cocktails & Latin eats. A minty frozen caipiroska ($13.50) and a (tequila) sunrise skull ($14.95) helped pave the way for tequenos ($9.50) crumbed batons of cheese dipped in chipotle sauce. My main meal mazorcada ($17.95) was a bit of a hot mess with corn kernels, chicken and Spanish chorizo stir fried and then mixed with a creamy sauce and cheese over lettuce leaves and potato straws. It lacked chilli bite. On a Friday night there was a steady stream of walk-up patrons, so they were on the very edge of COVIDSafe capacity, but with the windows open to King Street, it felt reasonably okay.
