It's a good takeaway. Good prices and great chips. Like a classic neighbourhood chippy. Definitely prefer going here over some of the more fancier places. You still get a good feed at a great price. Worth calling ahead during peak periods, as they can get slow.

Great service and value. I went to the chip shop at Ngunnawal first because I was there. They refused to serve me chips cheese and gravy even though they had all of the ingredients. Thank goodness for Ellenas friendly, accommodating staff.

Super long wait time

Ellenas is a easy to miss takeaway place tucked into the platypus shops. The prices are reasonable, and the chips are crunchy. Wait times are pretty average, 10-15 mins or so, but the store is always 1000 degrees, so i recommend ordering over the phone, and dropping in to pick up your order. Ellenas has a $15 eftpos minimum, but there is an IGA right next door if you need cashout.
