Eatery & Cellar Door at Balgownie Estate

Delicious food and a magnificent view. Stunning.

Couldn't fault the service and the food was great. The striploin was cooked to perfection, had a really nice meal.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. It is a lovely place to escape from the city rat race for a day. There is a cellar with many local products for sale in addition to wine of course. The restaurant is exactly matched to its online descriptions: An upscale atmosphere completed with professionalism, genuine smiles and not to mention three and two course options full of enjoyable tastes. There are also some unique scenery around the resorts for a short walk after the meal. Totally recommended for couples, families and even larger groups. Room for improvement: Acoustics of the restaurant Appreciation: prompt action to recover the mistake in my card payment.

Food is not bad overall. Entrees were not good, pretty flavourless and not fresh. Mains were good. Steak was really tasty. Sides were lackluster. Desserts were nice had some interesting flavours. Not a bad place to eat but you should skip the entrees. The view is very pretty.

Great spot for a special dinner in Yarra Valley. The food is very good and the wine list matches the food well and is surprisingly well priced (as in not as expensive as you might expect) The waiters were really good, engaging and helpful and made the meal that extra special (Thanks Conor!)

Raw/undercooked bacon served with breakfast. Staff asked the chef to replace to which he/she declined. Informed eatery staff with no response. Food was terrible, lack of care towards hotel guests is very clear!

Amazing food and wine, around top venue

Amazing staff and delicious food. The view is great, they have nice chairs outside where you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the view.

This is my second visit here. The food is very good quality and the service is very good too. I would definitely return.

Food was decent, everything went well. Also, main courses would complement very well with wines. Chicken needs more salt. Prices are insane though, might not want to pay that much to eat that..
