My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Drift. We decided to treat ourselves with the shared seafood special. Well worth it, as was simply delicious and like an entree and main course all in one! We then decided to indulge in sharing a dessert but couldn't agree on one, so each had our own and so glad we did as they were divine. All of this washed down with a lovely bottle of Tasmanian White Wine! (Don't normally take photos of my food but just had to, of the desserts. I guess the wine might have prompted me a bit 😊) The service by the staff was excellent even though they were quite busy, as it was a beautiful Friday afternoon during the school holidays. We had a table indoors by the window and it was wonderful seeing all the families and friends sitting outdoors (at tables or on the lawned area) relaxing and enjoying themselves with a drink or casual meals. Not forgetting to mention the lovely views of the beach and across the bay! Afterwards we went for a coastal walk up towards the lighthouse (needed to walk off some calories and alcohol ☺) and on our way back to the car going past Drift, everyone was still enjoying themselves and relaxing, listening to some live music that was now playing outside. What a wonderful spot! Do yourself a favour and try to get here if you can. We were on holiday from SA but had lived here for a few years recently and had never been before, regretfully. Like they say, sometimes you just don't know what's on your own doorstep! Enjoy life, and be thankful for just how lucky we are in Australia right now! 😇
