Din Tai Fung

Very disappointing experience today. I ordered the Kung-pow Chicken and waited approx 10min for the order to be ready. I then proceeded upstairs to the office, and settled down to the meal, only to find that half the container was filled with steamed rice and the amount of chicken/cashews on the other side of the container, dwindled in comparison (less than a quarter of the serving in total was chicken 👎🏿). The chicken was dry and stringy, and tasted like I was eating leftover food. On the bright-side, if you like steamed rice and don't mind paying $15 for half a serving of it, then you'll love this place.

Very small potion food. I think the actual size is only half what's on mnu photo, very disappointed. 2 stars for the well made dumpling and noodle texture is very tender.

Just been for lunch. Got there just after noon and was served promptly. After being served I noticed a big deliveroo order come in. Cue me waiting over twenty minutes for chicken and rice. Another restaurant that puts online delivery ahead of in-house customers.

Excellent noodle and dumpling soup. Worth the stop in the food court.

The food was good but not exceptional!

Great food and really nice and authentic noodles (dine in or take away). Had to look for it hard as it is situated in the far end of the food court on ground floor. Only let down by on-site cleanliness, even though it is situated in a food court, tables inside the store were not cleared in a timely manner. So customers are having to clear the stuff away themselves then call for a staff to wioe the table cleanAlso(remember these tables are inside the stall, not in the food court). When there are 3+ customers waiting for take away orders, they unintentionally block the entrance which results in confusions for customers whom later arrived/wanting to place an order. More clear signage is required or monitoring by staff as well as clearing the tables as soon as dining-in customers leave. We have been to the Chatswood store as well as the one in Westfield Pitt St where both sites are very clean and tidy, staff are more switched on. Other than that the food quality are great, consistent and recommended at this site.

Had to wait 30mnts during my lunch time to pick up the order. They should have told me to at the beginning that it takes time to prepare!

Delicious food, fast service, but their self order terminals need to be fixed, it kept resetting while trying to browse food options. Didn't seem to reset if you were on the payment screen though... :)

Sao long bao is excellent
