Din Tai Fung World Square Restaurant

Disappointing. Very chaotic in a poorly designed food hall. Had to queue and trundle up twice to collect the food. No water. No plates. Food was average and portions were not generous. Kung Pao chicken was pathetic with small pieces of chicken mixed with some dried noodles. Other than two pieces of spring onion, not a vegetable in sight. I guess its a little cheaper than a restaurant but not enough to justify zero service and small portions. Overrated.

Super rude receptionist. Maybe she’s having a bad day. To get a table you have to wait for everyone to arrive or you have to order something straight away. Bad customer service. Good food.

The food is consistently good however the service is non existent. The lady who greets u at the door needs to be taught how to smile. I did not have enough cash so wanted to pay the rest on credit card however she would not take split payment. No smile at cashier or thank you. Come here for the food not the service. Dumplings always the best in Sydney. So is the Wonton, hot sour soup and beef dishes. Yuzu peach drink is the best in town. However a good restaurant is not just about food, but also vibe service and how you feel about coming back. Hence DTF does not deserve full marks in my books.

The DinTai Fung is a restaurant famous for their dumplings and Taiwan inspired dishes. While their dishes are of high quality and the atmosphere of their restaurant, friendly. I cannot help but wonder why the prices of their dishes are so expensive compared to other restaurants that offer dishes of the same or better quality for much more reasonable prices.

The dumplings were really good but the main meals were average and a bit expensive.

Had a great dinner here. Loved the wide selection of menu items and everything that came out was wonderful. The xiao long bao were outstanding. My only regret was not ordering more.

Excellent food, although pricey. They have the best dumplings I’ve ever had.

Loved xao long bao, the staff could be a bit nicer but it's a Chibese restaurant, I guess
