I went to Diesel Bar on the weekend for a catch up dinner + drinks with the boys and was absolutely blown away by not only the food and cocktails but the service from both staff members Joao and Kai! They were really nice and helpful by recommending us food and drinks. Kai was very informative with our order and was very attentive. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

I asked for my Steak cooked Blue and that is exactly what I got. In a word: amazing. It was absolute melt in your mouth; Steakhouses haven't been this good. Compliments to the Chef Ang. The staff were all attentive, helpful and welcoming. The drinks were fantastic too, not many can make a White Russian that isn't bitter. Great job all round. My partner and I were very happy and will definitely be recommending you guys to everyone we know.

Nice place, relatively fast service and ok food. The menu is not that extensive though. It's good to try at least once. I recommend the "Perro caliente", it was a very tasty and cheesy hot dog. The empanadas are way too small.

I had my 40th birthday here on Saturday. Wow! We absolutely loved the venue, and the bar staff were so amazing! I had a lot of different cocktails and enjoyed every single one of them! I also really loved the atmosphere, and the style/decor of the bar was awesome! Nicole helped me make the booking via email, and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I'll definitely be back many more times!

Great bar in Melbourne Central. Staff are super friendly which is odd for a bar in the CBD and there is heaps of room to sit, dance or play pool. Drinks menu is vast and the food looks really good. Highly recommend.

Great place to kick back for dining in and having drinks with friends. Great customer service, the food/menu is very much to my liking and hats off to the chef, my Ribeye steak was to die for. Recommend to all and a big thanks to the staff for their great service and hospitality

The Margarita doesn’t real lemon juice 🥺. it's the baddest drink for $25 😣 (I spoke to the barista but he didn't help me)

Great atmosphere, fast and polite service... must try Honey soy Chicken Wings. Ground floor is the restaurant, while the 2nd floor is like bar/club. Toilets are level below the restaurant and unisex. Nothing wrong with that, just saying.

Nice place for dinner, very eclectic decor. Food was solid, large portion of fries and side salad, but plenty of meat too. Good cocktail range!

Description

Welcome to Diesel Bar, the energy that’s responsible for the light peering through the rustic cracks of the heritage 1920’s building. It has been whispered that this landmark was once surrounded by brothels and opium dens. In the seedy days of Little Lonsdale Street, dark and forbidden, building no.202 looked quite the same. By law the face of this historical element is not allowed to be altered. Nowadays no.202 hosts a classier crowd which enters through the maintaining face of debauchery. Step through the 1920’s and into Diesel Bar, where the insides have evolved dramatically bringing you the moodiest, contemporary bar in the CBD. Melbourne is forever on the go and that’s how the menu has been inspired, from a share plate to something a little more if you need it, we are more an eatery, bar then restaurant a place to meet, instead of a place to wait.
