Cockles Cafe

Came here again as our last visit food was great. Not sure what has changed?? Great spot but service needs a lot more improvement. We asked for table water twice and got our coffees before the water. Wouldn't have been bad except the coffees were colder than the water. Also don't mind people bringing their dogs to breakfast but they should sit out the front and not inside the cafe. Then had to watch our waitress pat the dog and then bring our drinks out without even washing hands first. Food eventually came out after 2 other tables ordered after us. Food was mediocre, too much hummus with the eggs on toast and the oats in the muesli not cooked properly.Sorry, but definitely won't be back again.

Beautiful spot for breakfast while spending some holiday time in Middleton. Best bit ... the way they presented the coffee. Food otherwise good as well

Undoubtedly the best Benedict I have ever consumed! Hands down! Coffee excellent as well, great place!

Excellent, the little cafe's do it really well and this place was great burgers we're terrific and coffee was yummo

Loved it so much at Cockles we went back again the next day. Food and service is excellent and I loved Cockles' spin on Eggs Benedict, which is on a flatten potato instead of bread .... just lovely. Would go back if ever on the Fleurieu again.

Food lovely and service exceptional, American or Canadian staff who know how about being hospitable. Good kids menu for breakfast. All round very pleasant experience.

Always a pleasure to dine at Cockles Cafe. The Nasi Goreng and Poke Bowl were so good, followed by coffee and cake. Staff are so personable and lovely. One of our favourite spots to eat on the Fleurieu.

Friendly, efficient service and breakfast was a good size and quality. Coffee not bad too.
