Yummy cheeses and chcolates
We stopped in here on our way to a few wineries today. This place is a delight. A beautiful location with amazing scenery. We ordered a 2 cheese platter with a side of sparkling and it was nothing short of amazing! Took away some beautiful handmade chocolates and were left feeling very satisfied!
Such a pieceful farm for enjoying time. With wide farm view and friendly staff, I had great time sitting outside. It could've been slightly better if there was heater outside as it was freezing, but other than that, it was perfect! Loved cheese plate and hot chocolate!
We’ve been here a few times over the last few years and it gets better every time. Nice setting with choices indoors and outdoors. Good mix of savoury and sweets on their menu as you’d expect they make their own good quality cheeses and chocolates. Very friendly and thoughtful service by waiting staff
My palate is jaded. Often I can't taste foods. But we had the High Cheese - and I could taste their produce. Seriously nice stuff.
Drove all the way out to the farm for an experience, only to be turned away at the door because there was no "running water". No empathy, no kindness. Just a cold rejection. This is despite the presence of other diners who were dining comfortably and leisurely inside.
Went here for lunch with the baby. I ordered the baked brie which was good, and my fiancé ordered the field pie (feta, spinach and mushroom). When the meals came out the staff said "there's no feta on it, is that OK?". It wasn't, but having the baby with us we didn't have the luxury of time for changes to be made so just took it. Obviously feta is the main component of that meal and we should have been told at the time of ordering so we could have chosen something else. When we paid the bill we explained that to the staff. The response was pretty much an apology, followed by a charge of full price for the meal with the main ingredient missing. That's OK, it just meant we didn't buy any of the other products we went there for.
Absolutely brilliant, we had High Cheese and loved it. Friendly staff, amazing cheese and beautiful location. I recommend the ash bree. A must for anyone staying in Hobart.
Lovely place with a friendly goat. Food is nice
Find a good espresso in Australia is a rarity. Here at Coal River Farm the espresso was great! And the service was excellent. Everyone smiling. This is a great attitude because we are in the luckiest part of the world.
