This is such a fabulous place. Fabio and staff are so welcoming. It’s not pretentious in any way, it’s all about the quality of the food and genuine hospitality. Generous portions, authentic flavours everything served with a smile I would highly recommend!

Touring down in Wollongong, we were in search of a comfortable and homely restaurant for newcomers. Italians always know how to welcome people in, the service here was warm and attentive to our needs. The boss even managed to sway us in trying Altamura bread with a passionate story of its journey to the restaurant. For the food, the lasagne and gnocchi was cooked softly to make the perfect bite alongside the generous layering of cheese. However, the four cheeses gnocchi was more creamy than cheesy and was kind of lackluster. The bresaola tasted amazing, its muscly texture delectable with and without rocket and parmesan. My dessert, pastiera napoletana, was much smaller than expected. Though the scoop of gelato was fulfilling, the tart had a delightful citrus tang to its crumbly pastry. This place definitely succeeds in its departments and authenticity, if only portions were a bit bigger!

Excellent Italian restaurant, specialising in pasta dishes in my opinion. Though there is no pizza, a chance to try something else Italian. Lunch specials available, but my advice would be to pick something unfamiliar and enjoy.

Can’t go to Italy? No problem! If I could sum up the food, experience and excellent, enthusiastic service in a comment it would still not come close to the real thing. Best Italian in the Illawarra by far :)

Best Italian restaurant I have ever been to! and I don’t say this lightly. I will tell you why. First, amazing customer service! From the time I walked into the restaurant until the time I left, they took care of me, like family. From the waiters, to even the chef. Second, the food was beyond my imagination! Starting off with the bread with olive oil/balsamic sauce. It was freshly baked and was so good. The marinara spaghetti was so fresh and flavourful with its tomato sauce and a huge amount of large prawns, mussels, octopus and other seafood stuff. The Arancini was so good with the crust being crispy on the outside and in the inside it was filled with its mushroom risotto and mozzarella cheese filling. The rice was neither too dry or the cheese too little or too much. It was perfect in portion The Italian wine and the tiramisu was so good as well. Truly, the best Italian restaurant, if not the best restaurant I have been too!!!!! Come here now!!!!

This is a traditional Italian restaurant which prides itself on using only the best produce to create the best possible flavours and it achieves everything it set out to do. The atmosphere is rustic and simple with the changeable menu on blackboards and a vibrant sometimes boisterous (polite) clientele which adds to the atmosphere. So if you are looking for an intimate dinner for two maybe not the right place. If you are looking for a fabulous eating experience this is one restaurant you need to visit. The staff are amazingly attentive from the manager to our very professional and helpful young waiter. There to assist and explain the menu and attend to your needs with a genuine smile and attention to detail. The food simply delicious with generous serves and presented to emphasise the amazing produce. There is care and careful thought put into making the various dishes resulting in a delightful meal. My only suggestion would be to consider a simple printed menu for the night (home computer/paper, as it fits with the rustic atmosphere) for those not facing the menu on the wall. It is somewhat difficult to read what is on offer. The night was finished off by Chef Perre joining us for a chat at the end of service. Thank you again, this just emphasised how much this crew cares about making your eating experience a great one. This is a restaurant you need to visit many times so you can explore their fabulous menu.
