The best food I’ve ever eaten. Could not fault it. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend when visiting Tasmania

Loved this restaurant so much, I ate dinner there twice in a row. If I could rate it a 6, I would. One of the nicest dining experiences I’ve had. The food is, of course, delicious, and everything is locally sourced (if not Tasmania then within Australia). The seafood is fresh and well cooked. The grilled Tasmanian scallops are to die for. The Singaporean seafood noodles were so good and a fantastic mix of seafood with an Asian twist. The second night I went with meat and potatoes. The potato skins were delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was quite large portion wise. Good drinks mix and excellent dessert. The service was impeccable! My waiter Cassy made excellent suggestions and was a joy to chat with in between serves. Would highly recommend this place, which will now be a go to for me in Launceston.

Food was amazing! The customer service was even better! Our waitress was Cassy and she was very attentive on what seemed to be a busy night. Very knowledgeable and had an answer to all out questions. If you’re looking for a night out with great service and amazing food, Cataract on Paterson is where it’s at. 10/10 would dine again 😊

Great service, wholesome food. Love the jalepeno poppers. Mocktails were so tasty, the elderflower was popular

A fabulous waitress who was so delightful. While meeting every need we had she was also more than happy to help us to move our table when we had been interrupted by a nearby family too many times. Some positive feedback for the owners, We did have an uncomfortable few moments where the children next to us kept bumping our table and at one stage the ‘Favorite’s selection of Wines’ we had ordered almost tipped over our lovely meal after a solid knock from one of these children. Not anti-children but we were there to mark the moment of almost being Cancer free and this experience was not what was hoped for. Thank you.

Loved our accommodation. A fantastic two level two bedroom apartment opposite Kings Park. But in the hub. Restaurant had good food. And again reasonable prices. Top class staff! We will be back to this one!

It was fun to cook my own steak 🥩 on a 400° hot stone. Food and dessert were nice. The 🥔 is quite delicious. However, be mindful that the stone cooking will splash some oil over the table and your clothes.

One of my favourite restaurants in Tasmania. Always a great time and the customer service is a stand out (thank you to the amazing staff who always make sure I have a great time!). Lots of options available on the menu with plenty of drinks also. I love the changing dessert specials and would always recommend you order dessert with your mains to make sure it doesn’t sell out!

Its worth to go all out at a place like this. The seafood platter for one was amazing and I struggled to finish it by myself. Equally the surf and turf will satisfy any hunger ! Great service and fun venue.

The cocktails are amazing and the service is everything you want. We had Cassy and she was just awesome. Food was amazing as always, my kids are so fussy but they smashed down the spaghetti like nothing else. Great atmosphere and great place to eat. Only reason for 4 stars is the vegies we asked for really soft ones as person had no teeth and wouldn't be able to chew hard ones.
