Catalina Restaurant

We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff are so warm and professional -especially Eduardo and Barbara. The food was magnificent! An amazing experience to treasure forever. Jan and John (Melbourne). PS The "stage show" by the large pelican was an unexpected thrill. How did he know we were there to celebrate a special occasion???

I celebrated my birthday here with a large group. We shared some starters, then had the set menu. I really appreciated them having quite a few options on the set menu, enough to suit everyone. The service was outstanding and the food absolutely delicious, not to mention the scenery - I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I had numerous comments afterwards saying how great the food was. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one!!

Food was good, but a little overpriced. Service was excellent. It was my partner's birthday, she was excited to go to Catalina for the first time. Our sitting was at 12. We arrived a touch early at 11.45 only to find the doors locked with approx 10 other people waiting outside in the freezing cold. Staff were clearly having a breifing behind the glass doors with customers waiting outside. It's a fine dining restaurant, at least seat your customers instead of making them wait outside in the cold. We were the first customers through the door. We ate fairly quickly but by the time desert was served we were asked to leave our table and sit by the bar asap! It felt like customers were on a conveyor belt. We couldn't have eaten any faster! We were the first people to leave! It's a good spot and worth a visit but I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon.

Outstanding service from Barbara tonight! We came in for an important celebration. Great atmosphere and sophisticated food from starters to dessert. I could go on, on how the oysters were divine, the snapper crab risotto to die for and the selection of desserts to indulge in.. the drinks were wonderful too. I definitely recommend Catalina. Thank you !

Such an amazing restaurant. I cannot fault my experience. From being escorted to our table, to the delicious cocktails to the amazing food in generous servings! This is my new favourite restaurant! The wait staff are incredibly attentive and polite. I recently went to a fine dining restaurant overlooking the Opera house and Sydney harbour. They do not even come close to the quality, service and value for money. I will be returning very soon! Thanks Catalina for a wonderful evening :)

Catalina is without a doubt our favourite restaurant, we go for a long lazy lunch every couple of months and it never disappoints. The food and wine is amazing and the sommelier always picks a perfect pairing to make the meal really sing. The views are spectacular and there is always something to watch - seaplanes, ferries, wind surfers or when the weather is bad you watch the rain over the water and feel all snuggled in. The service is impeccable, relaxed and welcoming yet professional all the way. Everyone at Catalina knows what they are doing and they do it well time and time again. This place never misses a beat. Don’t change a thing :) Highly recommended!

Great dinner at Catalina. Wonderful table with a terrific view over the harbour at Rose Bay. We had a terrific selection of food (some of which I got photos of because my wife snaffled the rest too quick :) We chose scallops and a cured salmon for entree followed by tooth fish which came in a wonderful broth along with a fabulous barramundi. All were prepared with such care, displayed beautifully and literally brought a smile to our faces on a otherwise normal school night (Tuesday). Life affirming food. The service was great and couldn’t do more for us all night. So helpful. Great night out. Thanks so much and see you again soon.

This is a lovely restaurant. The service is friendly and personal yet suave. The food is delicious and the environment on a sunny day is magical. Not cheap but well worth the spend. It is one of my two favourite restaurants in Sydney.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Exceptional food cooked to perfection. Incredibly well presented dishes. Gorgeous view to enjoy while dining. A well run and regimented operation ensures a memorable experience. Must visit. 5 stars.

An amazing seafront restaurant with stellar views, delicious food and attentive staff. We opted for a 3 course set menu accompanied by some choice drinks recommended by the Somelier. We can't fault anything, will definitely recommend and visit again.
