Just off the SoT and we were hungry. Young guy handed us a pamphlet and pointed up the road. Well it was maybe 200 metres away and we were glad we stopped. Excellent coffee and food and we even got a container for food not eaten. So tasty food, big portions, not cheap but we thought we got value for money.

Such a cozy and retro cafe. It’s very pleasant here and obviously the food is fantastic. The coffee is very good the staff is kind and efficient. Also has outdoor seating with plenty of greeenery and flower beds. It’s 10/10 for ambience food and service. Been there over 10times and will go there again.
Warm inviting they even opened the door for you 😳 great service delicious yummy tasty food, hot good coffee with easy RV parking just across the road. Will be back with bells on😂
Lovely place for a post ferry breakie. Coffee was fantastic. Eggs Benedict hit the spot for a long day touring around the island.

What is a better compliment than we liked it so much we went 2 days in a row for breakfast!!! Stay up the road post spirit arrival and decided to try it after reading other reviews. Ordered 2 vanilla flat whites, two big brekky and then another set of coffees for the road .... Both days! The portions are good, prepared as ordered, coffees are great!! Service was wonderful and friendly - ran by a nice gentleman and his wife. The decor is traditional victorian but not stuffy because if you look around some of the photos will give you a chuckle or a fright. Will be back next time! Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

We arrived after an over nighter in the spirit of Tasmania and stopped here for it breakky. It us pretty much the first cafe you see once you get off the boat. The customer service was ok but was not overly engaging when you take into account that almost all the patrons had just hit if the boat and were mostly tourists. We sat outside and there were plenty of rooms and tables inside. The food was reasonable and reasonably priced. The story of the building is of great interest and all the photos etc are cool. Toilets are very cleaned and well maintained and parking is easy and plenty of it.
My Dad and i have been coming to squires for a couple years now and it's definitely in the top 2 places to grab breakfast in Devonport And the people there are great to chat with which is always a plus
