The coffee here was absolutely lovely. Definitely recommend for coffee drinkers.

I cannot believe how poor the service has become in recent times! I wanted a gelati and I asked if a dark brown gelati was Chocolate Sorbet. The girl who served me replied "I don't know"! I told her that she better find out. I asked for a cone with two flavours. The girl was struggling to fit two flavours on the cone and it looked like the gelati was going to collapse. She tried to put the gelati on a second cone, again struggling to keep the gelati on the cone. She kept telling me that she doesn't usually work there, trying to explain her incompetence. It became apparent that the diameter of the cone was too small to hold two flavours, so I asked to have the gelati put in a cardboard cup, which is not my preferred way of eating gelati - 3rd attempt was successful! I decided to complain to the manager that the cone size was not big enough to hold two flavours. The person who came to see me when I asked for the manager, was a young girl in her 20's who did not even look at me when I spoke to her. I have bought gelati there previously and never had this problem before. I believe the store has skimped on the price of cones and now only stock cones of a very small diameter. Don't come to Brunetti for gelati - there are much better alternatives in Lygon Street.

Worst coffee I’ve ever had in my entire life

Extremely difficult to get through to the Carlton store via phone. Needed to urgently change a cake order however I was put on hold for over an hour and the automated voice kept stating that I was “first in line”. I understand the store gets busy but waiting for hours on hold is a bit ridiculous. At least let me know that I’ll receive a call back etc. If someone needs to urgently change their order or can’t pick up a cake there’s no option to speak to anyone. Such disappointing service!

Use to Love this place but now their cakes are snap frozen and the cream just doesn't have that silky sensation on your palate =(

Best dessert house ever!! Though it’s hard to pronounce and remember the foreign names of each pastry. I loved the tiny choco mousse thingy and the custard puffs!

We were lucky to grab good parking near by, and decided to try the ice cream at Brunetti. In the past, we’ve purchased their tiramisu cake (delicious btw) for my hubby’s birthday recently. The ice cream was delicious, no iciness, creamy with a bold texture, with a vast variety of flavours. Staff were very inconsistent, the server offered samples to the family before us, when I had asked for a sample, was told they don’t do it, it was after I reminded them that they just offered samples, was when I was offered one, but declined, hubby was annoyed and only got an uncharacteristic one scoop and I got a small portion of cake, as I didn’t feel like spending more money. The cheesecake was delicious, and much better than what I have had in recent times. Place was busy, but service was fast.

Wow, amazing shop! Been coming here the last few years after eating in Lygon St, then grab something to take home for desert! Will take us years to get to taste everything, but challenge accepted! ❤️❤️

Throughly enjoyed the cake pictured below. It was an absolute hit for a friends birthday. Otherwise, I love visiting brunetti’s the staff are always helpful and the majority of cakes/pastries are delicious.

Rang the Carlton store on Monday 15th March in the evening to order a SOTTO BOSCO cake for my wife’s birthday. Called around 8-9pm and was on hold for approx 30 minutes before someone answered. Picked up cake on Thursday 18th evening (as arranged) and ate the cake on Friday 19th in the evening. Found the Cake sponge was extremely dry. Can’t say it was worth the approx $60 spent for this. Found the whole experience very disappointing. Reached out to management twice via email as prefer not to write 1 star reviews but no response.
