Bombay on the beach

Good. Fresh.

Went there today with 3 children ... Was asked if we wanted water or sparkling... they charged us $22 for sparkling water even though it was presented as a complimentary service. We asked for a large rice which cost $15 for plain rice! Waiter argued with us that we ordered a butter chicken when we didn't!! I went and paid and they charged me for the butter chicken I didn't order... Overall I love the food and used go regularly.. but the experience has made me not want to give my business there anymore. I feel the prices have been raised on items that are always cheap. We ordered 2 x curries, large rice and 1 fish and chips, one plain chips was over $100!! I feel ripped off!!

Tasty dishes with good service! Veg biryani however wasn't as anticipated but curry and naan was delicious 😋

We celebrated our daughters 30th birthday here. The service was fabulous as was the food. It was a Sunday lunch and there were 14 of us, including 2 toddlers, 2 babies and prams. The lovely staff were very accommodating and paid attention to our needs during our whole dining experience. It was a pleasure and intend on dining there again.

Food was extremely delicious and finger licking good. Kudos to the team ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful meal. Greeted as if we were family and throughout our dining experience treated as such. Nothing was a chore for the staff and i simply can't find anything wrong with this wonderful establishment. Always a happy and welcoming. Food is incredible. The wine list (and prices) impeccable. The best mango lassi we've ever had. We've had many in our travels. Well done Bombay on the beach. You are our happy place. See you again soon!!! ❤

Best Indian Restaurant In Tasmania. This restaurant is a true delight. The service from staff was fabulous. The specials are well thought out, and true to authentic Indian food. Drinks selection, and the BYO opportunity is good. This restaurant can get busy - don't forget to book in advance. Very solid menu, with the ability to cater for all tastes right through to ultra-conservative palates. We have been regulars for several years, and keep coming back. Never had an "off" night - consistency, professional and assured of great food and fabulous service every time.

My partner and i recently visited Tasmania from Victoria and during our stay we were looking for places to go for dinner and we found this little restaurant called Bombay on the beach in Blackmans bay and just wow! The food was amazing, in a very cosy setting. The only negative was the wait time for our meals but I can put that down to the fact that they put so much love into preparing their food and getting the flavours right, so when the food hits the table, we as diners get to experience an authentic snapshot into Indian culture through their cuisine. Well worth the wait.

Hats off to Chef. Was trying to find a mistake but didn't succeed. Kudos to all staff for their foine service! Highly recommend Bombay on the Beach🤩.
