Blue Monkey Restaurant

Great food, friendly staff and nice clean restaurant. Ribs were great.

We stayed at the adjoining hotel for 2 weeks whilst getting settled in the area. As part of our accommodation we ate at the Blue Monkey for breakfast and dinner each day. We were happy with every single meal we ordered! The chef does a great job across their entire menu. The chef(s) demonstrated a consistency in quality across all our meals that made our dining experience. However, be aware that the menu in the restaurant is new and no longer matches the ones in the rooms. Finally, the service was great. We got to know the staff and they are very pleasant and happy to help. They are truly interested and engaged in making your meal. I can't say enough good things about the people they have working there. They truly make the Blue Monkey what it is.

Great meals and atmosphere while having family over on holiday. Our waiter Roberto was very polite and helpful in recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

Always really friendly staff. Meals are of a good size and good quality. When I've been is got a nice clean café kinda vibe.

Food was mediocre, and the service was an exemplar of people who are SO over it. Cook was incredibly slow, and the waitress was acted like she detested her job and was going through the motions waiting to get her pay.

The staff is very friendly and caring. The food was nice too. Coffee is a little strong to our taste but made with care barista style.

My husband and I dont get to have a date night very often and tonight we decided to go here for the first time and try it out. We arrived for dinner at 7pm and were seated right away. We had a movie starting at 8:20 so we decided what we wanted right away. We were looking around for servers but no one would come to our table. No one even offered us a drink. After waiting 20 minutes and still nothing I finally went up to one of the servers and asked if we can order and was told that they had lots to do but were reluctantly going to take our order. I asked how long it would take for our food to come and they said that there were a lot of people still waiting for their food. After all of this trouble and waiting we decided to just leave. Wish i could comment on how to food was but we werent even offered drinks. Very disappointed with the service and not too thrilled that we wasted one of our date nights on this restaurant.

Don’t read the online menu, it’s not what you’ll get in the restaurant and I use that term loosely. A better description would be mining crib room, you sign in and help yourself to the buffet and clean up after yourself (if you’re a high viz wearing employee). If you’re a visitor to Kalgoorlie don’t go to this place, if you’re a Coeliac avoid it at all costs! I was assertively advised by the waitress that the beer battered barramundi was gluten free 🙄 Avoid it
