The food is ok but not amazing

Great atmosphere and delicious food. What more could you ask for. You’d never realise how big this place is by walking past it on the street, but the back section can fit quite a few people. It’s hidden feel creates a great atmosphere. Defiant worth giving it a go. The food was also great (we got the banquet menu) and the service absolutely matched. Couldn’t be happier.

My partner and I went here for Valentines day, all in all it was okay. The inside had quite a lovely and unique vibe however we were seated outside which is a very different atmosphere. It's quite light outside so it loses the moody intimate charm that inside offers. Outside is also quite loud which can make relaying orders and conversation with your significant other difficult. The food was absolutely delicious but for the price there simply wasn't enough of it. $25 for 3 roasted prawns of average size?! Again delicious but my partner and I walked away still hungry after bread, dip and prawns as a starter and steak and fish as the main.

Food is delightful and so are their drinks, we chose the banquet menu and were very satisfied with our choice. The greatest highlight (among many) was the desserts, hands down! The flavours are complex and really ends your evening on a sweet and blissful high. Most importantly, the staff are vibrant and friendly and really quite funny!

We had a wonderful time at Bloodwood! The staff & service were absolutely brilliant, I couldn't say enough good things about them. The food was delicious and our group kept commenting on how tasty everything was. My only suggestion would be if catering for a group on the set menu to allow for a larger portion of food as we did struggle to share the small amounts and at $65/head could represent better value for money. Otherwise, cannot fault the experience at all.

Bloodwood is my favourite restaurant in Sydney currently. I've been 4 times and each time had a fantastic time. Service is beyond phenomenal, even when exceptionally busy. Food is intensely creative and delicious, and each time I've been I've had something new on the menu and its all been delicious. Great custom cocktails and wide range of alcohol too
