The Birkenhead Tavern

Took the punt on a Beef Schnity. Beef was two millimeters thick and Coating was twice as thick. It still tasted good with gravy. Chips were fantastic. Girls had Barra and loved it. Service was good and girls at the bar were quick and friendly.

Great food. Good wine. Friendly helpful staff. Not overpriced.

Great food. Noisy, hard to hear others at our table. Lots of options for all tastes on the menu. Food and service 10/10 4 stars is just because as a social venue when you can't hear it defeats the purpose of catching up with people.

Very beautiful meal and scenery

The food is okay.. I wouldn’t be rushing back there but we only went for a friends birthday. Where we were seated had no female toilets near by or toilets to change my daughter in, had to walk the whole way around

Booked here a couple of weeks in advance as wanted a table near water edge Said it would be no problem only to get to be seated on a really small table for four in middle of dining room and were 2 tables near water edge that were used for walkins Asked the guy when going to order and his attitude was oh well too bad and he looked scruffy and really needed a beard trim as didn’t look the part to be taking meal orders This was my belated Mother’s Day lunch as was working last week. Extremely poor service and to allow walkins that don’t make a booking take the prime tables and others that make bookings to be dumped anywhere There was another lady who was not impressed with same issue I had. So we went to semaphore hotel and the food was fabulous and the service was excellent Maybe Birkenhead tavern can take some notes!!!!

Great shared lunch as to say one meal was shared and was plenty for the both of us great price ,good service clean place will return as all day dining.

It was crowded for a Wednesday lunch time, the service was great, the wait time practically none existent, and the food was absolutely superb. We sat in the outside covered area and watched the goings on on the Port River. It was a very relaxing luncheon and one I would like to repeat very soon.

Very popular place. Great meals. Large portions at a good price.
