Birkenhead Tavern

It was cold and wet outside but warm on the enclosed deck, so even though we could see the lights across the Port River to the lighthouse on the wharf we were cosy. The meal was really good. It came quickly and was hot and generous and very tasty. If you’re looking for a top pub meal this is a smart choice.

Been to a lot of places for meals but I must say it was the best meals we have had in awhile I will be recommending this Tavern. My Seafood Plate was so nicely cooked great food we will be back very soon.😃👍

Cute pub on the river. My lamb fillet salad was amazing and considering how fresh it was outside. It was nice and toasty inside. I love a good wine list

Food always good. Staff friendly. Price for seniors excellent.

Seems like they have a different chef. The meals took ages to come out, the salad dressing was indescribably bad, and my son's fish was tasteless. Not how it used to be.

Nice pub meals, cold craft beers on tap and a generous chicken schnitzel!

Food was good, I have a sister with a disability, the staff 100% they were helpful, understanding I cannot think highly enough of the staff. Thank you we will be back.
