Great place to go out with the kids! Our first visit was in 1985! When the place was only a few years old and had a fraction of today's to offer The shop is great and affordable prices I found Handcrafted wooden toys A good place to take you kids or grand kids

Seth is 3 and a half loved it!! The animals are sweet but as they tell you watch the llama spits and a bit cranky The animals love to be fed and follow you for a bit Playground is fun Loads of seating Look at the large toys at the back left Made in Australia and strong and hardy Loads of toys puzzles etc for all ages. EATERY clean and nice staff are lovely Parking plentiful Is was a great experience Will go again Price is $2 an adult children Seth's age free you will have to check for old children though Bags of food for the animals $2 each would suggest I bag might not do Seth liked to feed them a lot yes a lot .. Beautiful memories to be made You can climb the rocking horse but I didn't Be brave its tall...

Excellent day out for the family. Its awesome for the kids as they are able to not only see lots of different animals but also interact and understand them a little better. Very cheap fulfilling day out for the family!

I love the horse I climbed to the 1st floor which is to the red sleigh part. Then we went into the gift shop. It has lots of wooden toys to buy. I wish I had brought a puzzle kit. I did buy a tea towel to add to the collection at home. At lunch time I liked my toasties and the scones and my coffee. My group mate's had huge burgers and chips that looked nice. I also liked the animals. Sheep and an unusual bird with a long bent beak I've never seen a one of those before I don't know what it's called. Bedford social Saturday South group wants to thank the Big rocking horse site for this day out. The other two social groups will also be visiting this month too.

I've been coming here for a good 20 years I'd estimate. Always good fun with children. Don't under estimate the size of the bowl of chips!

Great place to take the kids. People with mobility scooters or wheelchairs will have difficulty if the want to see the animals though. But very friendly & polite staff. I do recommend 👍

This was a great stop! I would highly recommend heading here for a stop with or without kids. I attended here with a group of friends and we had a great time climbing the rocking horse, feeding the animals in the park and shopping in the store. The only negative is that the staff look like they hate being there. Not very friendly.

A great little gem in the Adelaide Hills. Super budget friendly - costs nothing to stop and take a photo with the Giant Rocking Horse or on the little rocking horse, or explore the toy shop which has a viewing window out to the workshop. Entry to the little wildlife space is only $2. Cafe and toilets available, though note that the cafe closes a bit earlier than the park. Only comment I would make is it would be nice to see a Staff Member or Volunteer patrolling the wildlife area just to keep an eye on things/ stop people being silly - there were signs with a number you could call if you noticed bad behaviour but personally I felt a physical presence would help, even if only an occasional walk through. We visited on a Public Holiday.
