Big Pete's Eats

We had the double cheeseburger and the slow cooked pork belly and salad - it was amazing! Great flavours. The restaurant had live music on the Saturday night we were there and the place itself had a great community feel. Would recommend if you are in the Freycinet area!

The chef is very friendly! Waiting time for food can be quite long as he is the only one ordering, cooking and serving. Portion of food is nice! However, recommend to order the western dishes as they taste better than Asian dishes.

A great find in a place of overpriced tourist traps. Had a great meal and the chef fully understood what gluten free means. If you want a friendly place without any hang ups this is for you. Well done to Pete.

Really good locally made beer on tap. Got the lamb tagine for dinner. It was fkn amazing. Really tasty. Definitely be back!

This is, the no.1 value proposition on the Freycinet Peninsula. If you're looking for ocean views and the latest food fad, keep driving, and you might find someone who will  serve you half the calories at twice the price, if you're lucky. If you're genuinely hungry stop-off at Big Pete's Eats. Meet the locals, enjoy the local draught beer, and there's a very reasonably priced  wine list. They're open all year round, and they're open until late ! Frankly it's a no-brainer.

Double cheeseburger was fantastic, def the best we've had on our tas holiday. Laksa was nice too but didn't stand out. Recommend the tap beers brewed locally (enjoyed the hazy bayz). Overall glad we stopped, Pete seemed super friendly

A fantastic, hearty meal after a long day of hiking. Delicious burgers cooked with love. We particularly enjoyed the haloumi burger. Thankyou! Highly recommended.

Fantastic service, best hidden gem in Freycinet with some of the best food I've had in the region and Pete makes the dining experience one of a kind. Couldn't recommend higher

This was a perfect stop for food on our way to our hotel in Coles Bay. The food came in large proportions and the service was friendly. It appeared to be a hangout spot for locals as well, which was nice and it didn’t feel like a tourist centric stop.
