Best Gourmet Restaurant Newtown

The food tates not as good as expected, and the meat in the dishes is very few. Besides, the restaurant is too narrow and a little bit stifling.

I absolutely love this place. Favourite Chinese in Newtown and probably the best soup dumplings I have ever had! Also the people who run this restaurant are just the sweetest. I will definitely keep coming back for more.

This was a nice and friendly restaurant. Food was well portioned, tasted great at a very good price. Also, service was helpful, funny and fast. They will supply takeaway food containers if you cannot eat it all. Will go again and recommend for anyone

Great food, extremely welcoming and friendly staff and owners, and good atmosphere. Would especially recommend the duck, fried rice, and wonton soup. You can clearly tell that the owners care about their craft and the customer experience. Decor is a bit all over the place but that’s absolutely part of the charm and what makes it so authentic. This place reminds me of home.

The food is just amazing! Honestly, the best BBQ pork I've ever had! The service is great, staff are super friendly and always smiling. You can see by the way they work together that they are an awesome team! The restaurant is very popular with beer and soft drinks for sale. Wine is BYO and there is a bottle shop a few doors down. I can't believe so much food comes out of that kitchen!!!!! 😁

After 5 years of living in Erskineville and eating up and down newtown I have found the best Chinese place. Actually the best Chinese I've had in years. Full flavour, crispy, crunchy vegetables, tender meat. Will be back 100%

I have been coming here for 14 years (when they were in Dixon Food House) and now in Newtown!! Still amazing and the best Chinese curry chicken you’ll find in Sydney!!

I rarely write reviews but this place deserved one. I came specifically to use my dine & discover voucher after having read the good reviews for this place. When I walked in I noticed the big sign at the cash register saying "we accept dine & discover vouchers" so I didn't think I needed to ask before I sat down if that sign was legit or just for decoration. When I went to pay with my voucher the waitress spoke to me in Chinese or some Asian language and would not scan my voucher but continued to wave the EFTPOS machine in my face. I picked up the dine and discover sign right next to her to show her what she was advertising about the vouchers and she continued to speak in Chinese and basically would not accept my voucher. We are in Australia, please learn some English so you can read the sign you put up!! And some manners while you're at it.
