So good we went back the next day. Oddly, the same thing happened at the same place 17 years earlier. Beautiful food. Beautiful view. You don’t have to be an oyster lover - I am but no one else in the family is and everyone loved it. It’s also very close to the airport so if you’re looking for a quick meal before being subjected to airline food, you can’t go wrong. Excellent for those who have dietary requirements too. Hard recommend.

This is the first stop after we arrived Hobart,it is literary less than 5 minutes by car from airport. Very fresh oysters and prawns. Price is similar everywhere, so go for it if you love oysters!

Waited and waited for first visit to Barilla and finally .... not a single second or morsel of food was wasted, absolutely beautiful creamy, fat, juicy, tangy oysters... don't mess with perfection so all natural and then a platter with a variety of beautifully cooked seafood. Definitely planning a return visit- food, venue and staff all surpassed expectations.😊😊

Good food and great views of the bay. Menu is not extensive but caters for most tastes. Good service and reasonable prices for a pleasant mid-range venue.

So fresh, so simple and so delicious. Returning from a business trip to Hobart, stopped off at Barilla Bay, great staff, on the way to the airport. Our staff had recommended the farm, I called them, placed my order and turned up to collect next day. It was all packed and sealed in Styrofoam box, on ice and ready to go. Turned up at Qantas check in. Staff were friendly and helpful, I could carry on board if I chose. Oysters were unbelievable and the only problem with the mussels was that my wife decided she really liked them as well. Better get more next time.

Great oysters but service could have been a bit faster. My partner was very satisfied with the all you can eat oysters and their freshness though ☺️

Came here in 2005 when it was a proper farm set up and now Barilla has gone upmarket. Even though the placed has changed, their quality of their oysters hasn’t. My recommendation to all visitors, give the small oysters a miss, go straight to premium large oysters. Taste and sizes are just perfect for your satisfaction!

Great service, we bought un-shucked oyster for a decent price here. It is lovely. We haven't tried the tour here.

The place is cozy, warm and spacious. Suitable for big group events. Local ginger beer is superb and to die for. I personally tasted it better than other Ginger beer brand. Oysters are sooo cheap but tasty as well. It’s huge and creamy. Everything is excellent. The display of abalone, dried abalone and decoration is nicely looking. Store layout is neat and tidy. Would definitely come back for oysters and try out the farm tour as well.
