Ban Thai restaurant

Lovely people and service. Very cheap prices, especially their lunch deal. Food quality is good for a regional town, but sauces are a little less complex than Thai food in the big city, so tastes a bit different. Nevertheless still good food and nice and fresh.

Good service. Food was fine but a bit bland for my taste. Do ask for spicy as the usual preparation is more suited to taste of local population in the area.

Very popular. If going in the evening make sure you arrive early. The banana fritters are excellent value. One serve is good for 2 people with three scoups of ice cream included! Yum!

Absolute surprise discovery when looking for dinner options driving from Sydney to Canberra. The Pad See Ew, Mussaman curry, crying tiger and crispy pork belly were divine. The best Thai I've had (and I've sampled lots), or at the very least equal best. Better still, most dishes available in a GF option too. Considering how dull the place was, I reckon that the locals share my opinions too.

Delicious Thai food and great prices. I went for their lunch special and had a plate of Massaman Beef Curry with rice and a can of soft drink for only $12. I also ordered a serve of curry puffs (2 to eat in and 2 to takeaway) and a pad Thai. The pad Thai was only $13 at lunch and their lunch specials start at $10. There were only a few people dining in when I was there but lots of takeaway orders. I would like to go again for dinner and try more of their dishes but I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving good Thai food in Goulburn.
