Aspley Hypermarket Shopping Ctr Shop 61 4034, Brisbane
Always good friendly staff and very efficient. Yum cha is what we usually go for
The service is extremely poor. The trollies coming around were few and far between. Fried food was cold. Tried to order off menu, no one would come to take order. Lots of staff, restaurant only a 3rd full. Head waitress was very rude. What food we did get was good but we had to wait a long time for it. Not worth it Left hungry!!
I have been a regular here for years! I mainly get the takeaway but have also dined in for dinner because it is absolutely perfect for large groups. A large round table with a lazy Susan is the perfect seating arrangement so everyone can see eachother and talk across the table. The Yum Cha is definitely worth checking out as well if you go for lunch! My favourites for takeaway are honey chicken, lemon chicken, the special fried rice and the garlic butter bok choy / green. If you are eating in, finish off your meal with the caramel deep fried ice cream!
Having recently moved to the area we have been on the hunt for a good Chinese restaurant. Mainly for regular yum cha. This week we decided to try the dinner menu and we're not disappointed. Great food, great service. Becoming a favourite.
Good food. Good location. Excellent parking right outside, you can see your car from inside the restaurant. Pricing is mid-range to me. Yes, we will be going back.
It was a nice place with prompt service. The chicken feel were done well, a smoke flavour that's different to other ones I've tried. The tripe was a bit lack luster, no real flavour even though it was cooked well. The buns and dumplings were good but nothing really stood out. It was satisfying but not memorable.
It was a disappointing experience at the Aspley Oriental Restaurant. We ordered the 2 course meal peking duck. The duck tasted dry (considering the amount of fat) which leads us to believe that it wasn't fresh and had been heated a few times. During the display when they were cutting the duck, it was done very unskillfully as the oils from the duck was splashing on me and no apology was given. We then had to wait for more than 20 minutes for the second course (San chow bao) to arrive and it was very salty. They provided only 4 large pieces of lettuce (not bite size) which made it difficult to eat without spilling over. Throughout the meal, no one came to check in with us and we had to ask for water 3 times before anyone brought some over. I won't recommend this restaurant and would probably never go back.
Very good traditional Chinese food. Huge portions and excellent service. One of the best Chinese meals I’ve eaten in Australia A lot of Chinese people eating here, which is always a good sign.
First thing to say is that the food is exactly what you expect at a suburban Chinese restaurant. Good service and reasonable prices. And that's your 4 stars right there. Go there Saturday lunchtime and it's pumping, sometimes lined up out the door. But funny enough we went there on a Thursday night and suddenly it felt weird. It was only just half full and I noticed how the decor is very dated, all the customers were families or elderly couples and a 50-50 mix Chinese and non-asian. We felt like we were in a 1980s Chinese RSL club having dinner. Check it out, any day of the week, lol.
Great service and good value we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
