Best pea and ham soup on a cold eavning
Always love the food, the staff and the ambience of Alfred's Kitchen. The last remaining "caravan burger joint" in Perth. Alfred's is a cultural icon. MUST TRY THEIR PES AND HAM SOUP!!!!!!!❤️
Best burgers by far In the area!
Bustling Friday night, nice steak burger. Will visit next time I'm in town.
Love it
Very good value if you look at the ingredients in the burger. Fairly priced if you just consider the quality of the main ingredient - meat's tough and is a little tendon-y. Lovely, helpful staff. It's quite crowded and there's always a queue. Instead of queueing, just call up and order in advance over the phone. You might have to call a couple of times or wait on the phone, but that's better than waiting in the physical queue (unless you meet a new friend there!).
Excellent service. Always fresh food
Alfred's Kitchen is an iconic burger joint by the railway tracks at Guildford, Western Australia. This place was established in the 1940's. Apart from excellent burgers, their Pea and Ham soup is legendary. They cook on a wood-fired stove and there is a large firepit with seats around a decent sized wood-log open fire out the front -- wonderful in winter. In recent years an old railway restaurant carriage has been placed parallel to the main east-west railway line on its own rails. Regular trains Wizz past at speed very close to this restaurant carriage. Customers can sit at tables in the old carriage to eat what they've bought at Alfred's Kitchen (looks a hundred years old but refitted to purpose). The staff are really friendly and give great service. Everyone I know loves Alfred's Kitchen.
Delicious burgers! Even my 3yo was saying how yummy his cheese burger was. Fun sitting by the old train carriage too. Would definitely go again!
Amazing food and orderly efficient service end interactions. I am glad I have eaten from the post WW2 tram car East end standard.
Best Burger's in town, cosy fire and sip on a home made pea and ham soup while you're waiting, yum
Never had a bad experience and you cannot beat the nostalgia of the place. Can't remember how many times I've eaten here! I remember visiting as a child when the fire was a gravel pit post horse and cart, but has always had that feel.
Food wasn't too bad, but the 1hr wait killed the experience. Buy the soup, at least that's a 2 minute turnaround...
Pea and ham soup brilliant great burgers
Pea and ham soup was great, will be back!
