Best Japanese restaurant ever. The owner hospitality and the food was second to none. Place is small but the food is delicious.

Came here for a quick meal with a friend. We both had the Aoba box, one fish and chicken. The food was delicious and the serving size was decent, we didn’t leave feeling hungry. It’s not over priced and the service was friendly.

The guy that owns this place is super nice and cooks amazing food, I'm coming back tomorrow. It's also cozy as fuuuuuuuuk. 🐼

Some of the best customer service and Japanese food you can find in Melbourne. I had the Aoba Box (bento) with kara age chicken for dinner and it was delicious. The meal was reasonably priced and very filling. I will be coming back for sure to try the daily lunch menu! Tasty gyoza 🥟 juicy, crispy chicken 🍗 fresh salad with sesame (goma) dressing 🥬

Great quality Japanese food in a (very) casual, tiny cafe setting. The chef is a legend and portions are generous. Aoba is a Glenferrie Road institution!

The best bentos I've ever had in my life

Great little place, my partner and I dropped in twice during our stay in Melbourne and both times it was quiet, comfortable and had awesome food!

Local favourite. Cute little family styled Japanese restaurant. Great food and service. Busy at night times so need to be a little patient. But well worth it.

I called to order so I can pick it up since I'm lunch for work. Someone picked up the phone and communication wasn't clear and when I got to the restaurant to pay, I confirmed order as karaage chicken Bento box only to get yelled and made me packed my own Benton box into the carry bag. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Highly would not recommend this place
