30 Confectioners Way, Sydney
Cute little place! I’ve only had their frappes but I really liked it. Got half sugar and you can really taste the tea flavour
It’s nice that there’s a bubble tea place in the area, but the drinks themselves were pretty disappointing. Weak tea flavour in the pearl milk tea, basically tasted like sugar milk. I like the decor and the plushies are super cute, even though orcas aren’t technically whales.
The only bubble tea place in this complex. Very cozy and cute interior. Decorations are all whale, which fitting the name nicely. Bubble tea was good, and you can really taste the tea.
Came here on a whim as we were going to a random suburb to look around and chill out. This place turned out to be pretty cute and thematic, following much to the whale theme. It’s kind of symbolic in a sense, seeing as this is the only bubble tea shop in Rosebery. We were quickly greeted by the staff and placed an order. I got a strawberry iced tea with less ice and crystal boba topping, since it looked quite interesting and I’ve not tried anything like it. We sat down for a while as we waited for the drink, and we were feeling appreciative of the stores design and layout, as well as the little decorations they had to make it extra cute and special. They even had a cabinet with many books and manga which supported the theme. When the drink was done we left with thanks and the drink was unfortunately not as good as I had expected. The tea was fine, but the crystal boba was not what I had expected, and tasted more like a bland, tasteless glass jelly rather than boba. I suppose I was at fault for assuming it would taste the same as boba. Nonetheless, the crystal boba had absorbed a bit of sweetness from the tea itself, and it made it more tolerable. Less ice was also a lot less ice than I had expected, and the drink had actually turned cold a lot quicker than it normally would have. Overall, a cute and decent boba tea spot, though I would not go out of the way to revisit this place.
The drink itself is good but it's too expensive, $9 for a large cup whereas other places sell for $7 for the same size and tastes better. I do like it that it opens till late night. I'd definitely come more often if it wasn't expensive since it's in the neighbourhood
A good addition to the sydney boba market. Really convenient operating hours and good for late night runs and venue is new and clean. Tea is refreshing but nothing too spectacular. Pearls have a very smooth texture. The venue is definately the crowd drawer as its very cosy.
So glad a tea shop has opened in the area. The Assam tea is delicious so far. Looking forward to the other flavours. Cute shop with the name based on the loneliest whale x
The tea tasted delicious there weren’t many people waiting and it took at least 15 minutes to get my order.
Original review: Taro milk tea, lovely big serve, delicious and fast. Can’t believe there isn’t a line out the door for this place. Update: got my 3rd taro tea today and changing my review because I dunno what the new lady there did wrong but it was baaad. So lumpy and there was all this white stuff not mixed through. I think she made some kind of mistake the aftertaste in my mouth is really rotten today. Lowering my rating by a star.
This is first time that I ordered Brown Sugar Tea from this new brand, and ended up with disappointment. Tea flavor is tasteless and whole thing is just watery. Can't rate the service cuz I tried it with my delivery app.
