As regulars of Andiamo Italian Restaurant in Rockingham we were sad to hear that they were moving to a new venue in Royal St, East Perth called Gioia on the River. Today we went for lunch and we were so glad we did. We were delighted to see that most of our old favourites are on the menu at Gioia. Andrea, the ultimate restaurant host, was very happy to see our familiar faces and he's justifiably proud of his new venture. The food is great but the view across the water is gorgeous and as there is no wind it's very pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the comings and goings on the river. Next time we'll go by train and Cat Bus so we can enjoy a few drinks.

Great company and amazing food. Well presented. I had Wagyu beef and broccolini - all fresh and really well cooked - food was served hot and tasted great. Will definitely be returning to try the other things on your menu 😊

This newly established restaurant has a great mix of old and new. The family history really shows as there is delicious traditional Italian food along with very friendly and helpful staff who definitely know what their talking about. This makes for a wonderful experience. La Fattoria is also very kid friendly with a dedicated "bambino" three course meal. Other great features include wheelchair access, indoor and outdoor seating with fans and misters, fresh fruit for sale and easy parking, making this a place I would most definitely recommend to others.

We have just returned from a business lunch where 11 of us were present. With the restaurant half busy it would have been perfectly acceptable to receive some sort of attention from the staff. It took me over an hour to get a beer as I was completely ignored by the staff, one of which couldn't even speak English and brought me the wrong beer in the end. If it was a bar I would be more annoyed but the food was alright. Maybe I should try the pasta and not the barramundi next time.

Slightly higher price tag but is justified by the quality of the food. Is a popular local place and doesn't take bookings, is usually packed 20 mins after opening. Love the frites!

Easy 5 star rating, very welcoming and great service from start to finish. You can tell this is not just your ordinary restaurant, as soon as you get a feel for the atmosphere and the food/wine menu. The wine list is extensive and great value on some highly saught after drops. Food is a perfect match and as i mentioned you feel looked after from start to finish. Cheers to the hard working crew! Will be back and highly recommending.
I've only been for one drink, but there was a nice range of local wine, good service and nice venue. Will definitely go again and upgrade this review to 5 stars if the food and other aspects are just as good.
