Had a 2-night stay recently. Balgownie was excellent - had a lovely spa room set up romantically for our wedding celebration, tasty breakfast boxes (though hot breakfast would be nice, and some variety between the breakfasts). Temporary marque for meals with limited menu since their restaurant was burnt down last year - food was good. Overall, would look forward to revisit when the restaurant is rebuilt!

Close to main town centre, great views of the hills. Love the country life experience, and with great outside tables, good place to start a weekend adventure.

Fantastic wine selection with a well-matched cheese and charcuterie board. Even the bread was delicious! The owner even looked after me on the non-alcoholic beverage front as I was the designated driver. This is what Yarra Glen and the valley generally have been needing for ages!
