Grange Jetty Cafe
4.4
/ 739

487 Esplanade 5022, Adelaide

The Jetty Cafe' is a rare treat... After traveling through Glenelg and Henley Beach, this cafe was a delight. The schnitzels were excellent as well the selection of light wines for the beach side. Staying on to dine late is important, plus eating ice cream from a waffle cone whilst listening to the waves and taking a night time stroll (shoes off) on the beach is something to be remembered. Don't pass up the experience... Service was prompt and consistent. =)

Wheatsheaf Hotel
4.7
/ 598

39 George St, Thebarton

The only reason I drink anywhere else is because it is a bit far out of my way. If I lived in Theberton I would be here every night. This bar has the best range of beer in Adelaide, always changing, always something new, and nothing for the faint hearted. If you like your beer simple, the sort of horrible stuff advertised on tv, go somewhere else. If you have developed a real taste for yeast and hops, don't bother going anywhere else. Apparently the whisk(e)y and wine is good too, I have never tried it though - too much beer. It is a real family bar, people actually bring their kids here. It is relaxed and a good place to meet people and chat - not one of those horrible places that are dark and you have to shout over the music. There are live performances regularly and most seem to be free. The only strike against this place is there is no kitchen, but they will let you order pizza in.
