Refreshing to see a new place that gets all the basics right - and does different things really well too! Prices - competitive and reasonable. Menu - inventive and interesting options * advance notice of allergy/diet needs is handled brilliantly - to the benefit of guests and the kitchen. Meals - preparation, presentation, variety of flavours were all excellent. Wine list - distinctive, free of tedious regulars. Ambience/design - music was a tad loud - space, tableware, decor all fresh and pleasing. Located away just beyond the bustling heart of West End, makes for a relaxed street frontage too. Service - Perfect! Personal, warm, very knowledgeable.

My partner and I love this place. Haven't tried the coffee or bagels they advertise when open during the day yet as I've got it fixed in my head as an evening venue only. Great for small groups up to 5 or 6 sitting. You'd possibly struggle with bigger groups due to layout unless you don't mind standing. Low key, unpretentious and unpolished little gem. Warm atmosphere and very warm staff. Good range of cocktails and reasonable beer list. Pay a little bit more for drinks but hey, considering the convenience of having wait staff and how good they are, I'm happy to. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews but I guess it relates to expectations and personal preference - this place certainly isn't a pub and isn't a shiny chique place to go if you want to be seen or to people watch. It's somewhere to talk to your friends in a comfortable atmosphere with very cool but unobtrusive music on rotation.

I wanted to go somewhere good for Breakfast while we were staying Brisbane. Trip Advisor couldn't give me the top Breakfast's. I found an other site that recommended Strauss but couldn't find which site it was. So we had a Gourmet delicious Breakfast, away from the standard that other Restaurants offer. The location was tuck away from the road down a alley way, we had wait a little as it got very busy and well worth it.

Such a beautiful restaurant! I loved the whole experience. The food was so delicious and filling, and the staff were so lovely. We shared the cauliflower wings, mushroom tacos and enchiladas and we left very satisfied and happy. Will definitely be back!

Uplifted and smiling :) Such a wonderful experience today. I'd been labouring in the heat and feeling a bit jaded, and then I went to the Campos Piccolo cafe in the Valley and was treated like royalty. The kindness and sincerity I experienced there from all the staff (on Saturday 22nd September 2018) was so extraordinary I literally floated out of there in a state of euphoric bliss - and the coffee was excellent! I don't know what happened - MDMA in my water?? Happy days any which way :) Thank you guys, amazing customer service, you've put a giant smile on my face and I'm enchanted - will become a regular customer!

Wide variety of meals on the menu, with specials changing daily. Have eaten here on many occasions and food is always exceptional. Service is friendly and seating is pleasant. Skip Park Rd and have lunch/dinner here instead.
Great little eclectic cafe for a good coffee, but the breakfast is only so so.
