The Homestead is set in a 1930's island home on Norfolk Island and has been in the Menghetti family for 37 years. Kurt and Jill Menghetti opened its doors as the Homestead Restaurant in October 2019. The team pairs simple ingredients with the elemental technique of cooking over embers to enhance the contemporary dining experience. At the heart of the kitchen is the wood fueled Argentinian Perilla grill engineered by Kurt's dad. The menu is designed around cooking over embers to intensify and develop the depth of flavour of the seasonal local produce, meat and seafood found on Norfolk Island.
