Set in a picturesque 19th century building with a postcard view over Carlton Gardens, Epocha serves a seasonal menu drawing inspiration from European culture and its modern cuisines whilst using the best of local Australian produce. Guests are invited to choose between a set menu and a la carte menu created by chef Gerard Curto. The “Sustain” menu is available in two or three courses with a variety of seasonal items. The “Surrender” set menu is a whole-table experience featuring either five or seven courses. Each Surrender experience is intended to be different and curated with the guests’ personal preferences in mind. Lunch on Sunday is Epocha’s famous Roast - three course set menu for $50pp. With its warm and chic atmosphere, Epocha is the perfect place for weekend meals with friends and loved ones, business lunches and intimate or romantic dinners with quality wine. It’s also the ideal place for special occasions and private functions.

From the convenience of free street parking to the value for money, this was a wonderful dining experience. Went there for our anniversary and was given a cute message in our dessert. Great playlist and the food was divine. The avocado and white chocolate mousse with our fish was a taste sensation. I've never had vegetables and a side salad taste so good. Service was amazing with many gluten free options. It's clear to see why it was fully booked out.

Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!! The ambience, the service, the food, the wine...everything was super perfect. I was here on a date and Epocha did not disappoint me at all. All of the dishes were well-presented and appetizing. The wagyu steak was ridiculously tender, whereas the pasta was simply out of this world. Organising the event from the menu to the seating plan was seamless and professional. The food was exceptional and all our guest commented later on the delicious menu. Absolutely fantastic experience - great food, excellent service and a wonderful, lush, old-style setting with a modern twist. The high-ceilings, dark woods, large staircase and modern light fixtures enhance the overall feel of the place which harks back to a colonial past. The food is the central player in a symphony of delights. The wine list is solid, without being overwhelming and the staff are knowledgeable about what goes well, with what dish. There's reasonable parking available although a taxi or Uber would be recommended, as are elastic-sided pants so you can really overindulge. Booked for Valentine’s Day. Due to sudden lock down we opted to receive the menu at home. It was incredibly generous of the restaurant to offer a bottle of wine for those of us who opted for preparing the food at home. The restaurant’s “hope” and hospitality is impeccable and we felt well cared for despite being able to dine in this Valentine’s Day. The restaurant catered wonderfully for gluten free and provided all the meal options ready to easily cook. The service was delightful and the staff easy to chat to and genuinely very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious (we did our best to prepare it). Our favourite was the special white chocolate dessert. A lovely selection of local foods, fresh textures, salty, sweet and creamy. We had the wagu steak for dinner which you barely needed a knife to cut through, it was that tender. Once again Angie and the team at Epocha did not fail to deliver with their service and delectable, exceptional quality of food. We were welcomed for a Sunday Roast extravaganza with all the trimmings! The Champagne was flowing while we dined on oysters, bresaola, olives, the exquisite pigs ears, an amazing vegan dish of cauliflower puree with tastes that were sublime and unique! Our sommelier, Alex, paired the wines with our lunch in the expert way only he knows how to. When our Lamb Roast appeared with its accompaniments, a feast presented itself!
