It would have been a better experience if the barista had listened to me and gave me what I wanted. I asked for the pour over coffee (V60) and asked about the ratio of coffee/water, which she answered it was 18gr coffee per 300mL water. Then, I asked her if you could actually make it 18gr x200mL because that's the ratio I'd use at home. The barista refused saying that it wasn't their 'formula' and that it would change the flavour. It was a pity because the coffee tasted like dirty warm water, couldn't feel the flavour. We ordered also a long black, which happens to be with the same coffee beans and that one was fantastic. A waste of coffee beans on the pour over. I'd rather make my coffee at home if I can't have what I know I like. Maybe the coffee and water ratio should be reconsidered.

One of Canberra's premier cafes. It sits on trendy Lonsdale Street in Braddon just a few minutes from the city centre. Barrio CC features expertly made coffees and a seasonally focused menu. The food is adventurous and more importantly ingredients where possible are sourced from local suppliers. One of the standout dishes on their winter menu is snowy trout and chase it down with a super cool Espresso, Lime and Tonic. It's a small, intimate cafe with super friendly service and a real community to feel to the atmosphere.

Amazing toasties. Get the bacon mash toastie. You will be in food heaven. The house nut milk, I found was a bit too acidic in the coffee.

Coffee good, but I have had better. Very small portions. Small take away cups filled only slightly more than half way. Expensive for what you get.

Great little and I mean very little coffee shop. Neat, clean and well kept. Doesn't have a toilet. Trendy and very communal. Coffee is very good. Food looks good. Close to other restaurants Close to shopping Close to a park
